IMPORTANT NOTICES

 

Emergency interruption to Darlington Point water supply - Thursday 7 May from 1.00- 4.00 pm due to a water main leak.


Water mains flushing - Coleambaly - 6 and 7 May from 7.00 am to 7.00 pm.


Raw Water Restrictions - Jerilderie 

Residents of Jerilderie township are advised that raw water restrictions are in now in force until further notice.

Residential Properties Watering times

7 am to 11 am and 4 pm to 7 pm daily - use of automated systems or hoses with timers (timers cannot be set to exceed 120 minutes) or hand held hoses only.

Commercial/Council Properties Watering Times

For lawn or garden 11 pm to 7 am daily - use of automated systems only.

For lawn or garden 7 am to 9 am daily - hand held or hoses with timers (timers cannot be set to exceed 120 minutes) only.

Please check all automatic sprinkler systems to ensure that only enough water is being delivered, and that you have limited the water running into the gutters.

This may mean adjusting sprinkler heads or shortening watering times.


Supplying water to the community

Both Darlington Point and Coleambally townships are supplied with reticulated water for indoor and outdoor use.

Residences within the Jerilderie township are supplied with both raw water for outside and garden use, and metered filtered water for use within the house.

Outlined here are a list of strategies useful to assist in the the preservation of our valuable water reserves.

Rating labels on water efficient products

Buy products that are water efficient. Check that the label meets the Water Efficiency Labelling and Standards (WELS) Scheme.

All showerheads, washing machines, dishwashers, toilets and commercial urinals must have a water efficiency label. These labels have up to six stars.
